I originally built my website in 2005 while juggling work and studies. I enjoyed maintaining it for several years but had to give it up later due to various commitments. In 2022, I decided to revive my online presence, only to find that someone else had acquired my original domain. So, in 2023, I reluctantly started a brand-new site—the fastest way to get back online. Unfortunately, I couldn’t recover my old content, so the current site is essentially a fresh start. And a quick note: on why I am wearing a helmet as shown in the photo—I risk getting a ticket if I dont.

About Me
Born in a little red dot and enjoyed a touch of kampong life in my early years. Having been posted abroad for National Service, studies, and working in different countries have broadened my cultural perspective.
Enjoy being close to nature. Throughout my life, my interests and perspectives have shifted—what fascinates me at one stage doesn’t always resonate at another.
One of my most valuable learning experiences was studying Organizational Behavior. That course taught me to learn, unlearn, and relearn, a concept in quoting today’s world, “the illiterate … will be those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn” This idea continues to shape my thinking. I especially appreciate the TRD theory we learned—it may not be lucrative commercially, but it’s extremely practical in daily life.
By contrast, e‑Commerce classes felt more tangible and directly applicable. Some modules felt like art, others like science. I particularly enjoyed sessions where students from diverse backgrounds—Engineering, Arts and Social Science, Finance & Accounting etc—came together. In those classrooms, social science students were often outspoken, while engineering students emphasized facts and data, drawing sharp lines between substantiated and conjectural statements.
In my last two years in the industry, I met technical officer, technical executive, engineer, and even a facilities manager nicknamed “bulldog,” while my predecessor name him “monkey.” Their assertive demeanor often felt like confident but narrow in perspective.
That environment motivated me to broaden my horizons and step out of my comfort zone. Still, I recognize that every field blends challenges and opportunities. I witnessed a technical executive and an engineer earn well-deserved promotions before I left—one of the best pieces of news I received. Truly, the good ones prevail.
I’m also proud of my former associates and friends, too. We have a gathering when all of them happen to be in Singapore. I was impressed by how they continue to shine in their respective demanding roles. Their work is tough, but their performance is even more stellar.
